We had a great experience with Black Tie Moving. Our consultation with Danny took place over the phone and couldn't have been simpler. He was able to find a date that fit our schedule within just a week! Eric and Austin were our movers, and they did a very professional job . They called ahead to let us know they were on the way, arrived promptly, and made a quick assessment of what was to be moved. They thoughtfully put down runners to protect the floors before carefully wrapping and loading each piece onto the truck. They actually beat us to the new house and were ready to unload when we arrived. They made a quick tour to see where we wanted the furniture placed and actually remembered instructions with very little repetition. Once again runners were placed to protect our floors. The furniture was unloaded and unwrapped carefully with no damage to the furniture or the walls. They were even willing to rearrange the furniture when I wasn't satisfied with my original plan. I highly recommend this company.
Exceptional Move - Highly Recommend
Moving is one thing I know a lot about - this was our 19th move! And I would rate this, even though it was a local move only 8 miles away, as the best. Black Tie Moving was the ultimate professional from the beginning. The estimate was handled easily and efficiently. They worked with us since the condo we were moving into seemed to constantly be delayed so scheduling was a problem but they made it easy. We ended up moving on December 26th and even though it was the day after Christmas it was not a problem for them. Everything was handled carefully, well padded and shrink wrapped. But the most outstanding aspect of the move was the service afterward. One item was damaged, a 125 year old dresser, solid wood and very heavy. One piece of wood was broken. The claim would have been $84 based on the weight but I asked if there was anyway it could be repaired rather than paying me $84. Cody Black said let me have our furniture restorers look at it and see if they can fix it. Bottom line is they fixed it, looks perfect. Not every moving company will take care of you after the move like Black Tie did. If you are going to move, Use Them!

This was simply the best moving experience we could have ever imagined. Ben was my inside contact at Black Tie Moving. While pricing and reviews of two other movers was competitive, it was Ben who closed the deal. Period. He was very responsive, accessible, accurate, professional, personable, and committed. Ben didn’t just quote the move and step aside, he followed/up on every detail - flawlessly! And, the two movers impressed not only myself, but my wife and son. The movers demonstrated exceptional work ethic, safe handling and packing, and a downright positive, professional and respectful demeanor. We will highly recommend Black Tie Moving on the college website and to all family, friends, and relatives. Great company! Great peace of mind!

Moving Day
I used Black Tie moving July 2022. The movers did such a good job I used them again March 2024. Jay, Kenneth, JB and Omozuwa were FANTASTIC! Each one of them took great care of my furniture and made sure they were careful not to damage any floors or walls. If I ever move again, I will definitely call Black Tie Movers!
