Great Experience with FL-to-OH Move
I highly recommend Black Tie Moving Company of Columbus, OH. I got quotes from them and two other companies for moving my mom from Fort Myers, FL to Columbus, OH. I assumed Black Tie would be out of our budget because they provide direct moving, in which only your things are on the truck, and the truck goes straight to your destination rather than delivering other people's things first. Their quote was only about $1,300 more than the van line, and the van line would have taken 5-8 days to get my mom's stuff to the destination. I received a call from Dru a couple of days before the move to let me know he was the field manager and contact person. The movers who came out were Patrick and Aaron. I had been told that they would arrive at 8:00 am on Monday morning. They arrived at noon instead, but they had driven two days to get there and were very nice and respectful when they got there. They did an EXCELLENT job. They packed all of my mother's things carefully and efficiently and got it all into the truck that day. They finished at about 10:30 that night and were courteous and polite the entire time. Not once did I see them bump into anything as they moved items big or small. They drove two days and then unloaded the day after that. They got to Ohio a day before my mother and me, and my husband let them in. They got some guidance from my husband and me (mine over the phone), and then we asked them to place the furniture where they thought it made the most sense. Looked great.
