Growing up helping out at his father’s moving company, Dustin had plenty of experience in the moving industry; however, it wasn’t until he had his own negative experience with one of the top moving companies in the country that he decided to start his own business. Shortly before founding Black Tie in 2012, Dustin moved to a new home and suffered over $30,000 worth of damages to furniture and personal belongings at the hands of one of America’s largest moving companies. This experience, coupled with similar stories he had heard from friends and family about bad experiences with major moving companies, prompted him to begin his next business venture - founding Black Tie Moving. Guided by his frustration about his own experience, Dustin worked hard to build a moving company that stood out from competitors by standing up for its customers. He founded Black Tie Moving with the intention of creating a reliable moving service that valued transparency, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.  Over the last decade, Black Tie Moving has become the nation’s fastest-growing moving company.
